The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning agency for the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area providing essential services to our region: transportation, wastewater treatment, growth and development of local communities, affordable housing programs, and regional park systems.
This position is eligible for hybrid (remote and onsite) teleworking.
The Senior Planner will join a collaborative Housing and Livable Communities team serving as lead staff for Livable Communities Act (LCA) grant solicitations. Will apply their knowledge of housing policy, community economic development, and land use and planning to help communities achieve development goals. Will provide advanced outreach, technical assistance, public engagement, policy analysis, and program evaluation to improve the delivery and impact of grant programs. Will ensure a high level of customer service with local governments, development team partners, and other key stakeholders.
Salary Range: $78,000.00 - $117,728.00 Annually
